Pet owner is not limited to market value, but may recover the reasonable and necessary costs incurred for the treatment and care of the pet attributable to wrongful injury.

Owner of wounded pet with little market value can recover costs of care attributable to the injury, if reasonable and necessary, and punitive damages if the injury is found to be intentional.
