Special SJ rules for unlawful detainer actions.

Normal time frames in Code Civ. Proc. §437c do not apply to summary judgment in unlawful detainer actions.

SJ motion in unlawful detainer may be made any time after answer filed upon giving 5 days notice. SJ shall be granted or denied on same basis as Code Civ. Proc. §437c motion.

Summary judgment motion does not extend trial date.

Holiday extension of CCP 12a does not apply to acts governed solely by contractual provisions and court did not err in sustaining Ds' demurrer.
