When stakeholder admits it owes money or holds property owned by another, s/he may deposit money or property in ct. and be freed from participating in dispute.

Where H a suspect in W's murder, and benefits would have gone to W's mother if H convicted, life ins. co. entitled to file interpleader, and court did not err in awarding the co. atty fees and costs from interpleaded funds later awarded to H.
