Upon P’s filing election, any cause in which P agrees that judicial arbitration award shall not exceed amount in controversy as specified in §1141.11 shall be arbitrated.

Determination of adequacy of amount in controversy made by court and case submitted to judicial arbitration at case management conference.

Determination of amount in controversy and whether prayer for equitable relief frivolous or insubstantial may not be appealable.

No determination shall be made if all parties stipulate in writing that the amount in controversy exceeds amount specified in CCP §1141.11.

On motion, court may remove case from judicial arbitration when complaint amended and amount in controversy exceeds limit.
