Petition for dependency may be sustained if parent caused death of another minor through abuse or neglect.

Court properly asserted W&IC 300(f) jurisdiction over Cs whose F negligently failed to secure younger C in a car seat and she died after being thrown from the car during an accident.

Jurisdiction proper under W&IC 300(f) where, but for mother allowing her 3-yr.-old to roam the streets unattended, she would not have been killed by a falling metal gate in a busy alley.
